Saturday May 28^th, 1- 4:00 pm (location to be confirmed): Raw Vegan Food Prep Workshop with Carmella.

Easter Weekend

Zen Zero will be open:

Easter Friday from 10-4
Saturday from 10-4
Easter Monday from 10-4.

We will be closed Sunday.

The Zen Zero Smoothie Wagon will be in operation at the always fabulous Family Earth Day Celebration in Simms Park on Saturday April 23rd from 10-4. Hope to see you there for all the wonderful family entertainment, activities and information.

Fundraiser/Silent Auction/Going Away Party

Looks like we’ve finished our multi purpose room just in time to house this Friday’s going away party fundraiser for Tarah who will be leaving on November 1st for Japan to help save the Dolphins who are slaughtered by the thousands there every year.

The party this Friday will have live bands and a silent auction with items from many wonderful businesses including Raw rose, Second Page book store, Cumberland Massage, Backdoor Gallery, Winds of change, Euroscape Spa and of course Zen Zero to name just a few. All proceeds to go to sending Tarah to Japan. The silent auction items will be on display all day at Zen Zero so even if you can’t make the event in the evening, you can still support this wonderful cause and maybe win yourself something awesome as well.

The party will take place between 6:30 and 9:30pm and Zen Zero will be open the entire time for all your refreshment and food needs.

Save the Dolphins Fundraiser

There will be a Vegan Bake Sale fundraiser at Zen Zero on Saturday October 16th from 1 – 5pm with all proceeds going to send Tara, a local animal rights activist, to Taiji Japan to help stop the massive Dolphin slaughter that takes place there from September thru March.

There will be a large assortment baked goods for sale with everything from your traditional wheat flour to gluten free and even some unbaked raw treats. Everything will be Vegan. Following the bake sale there will be a 5pm screening of the movie The Cove in the newly renovated multi purpose room in Zen Zero. Everything is by donation and whatever money is raised will help send Tara to Japan to be a part of the effort to stop this senseless slaughter of thousands of dolphins and whales in Japan. Please spread the word and come show support for Tara, buy some yummy baked goods and stay for the movie if you like. Every little bit counts.

Vegan Dine Out

This coming Tues. Sept. 21 at 5:30 and 6:30 Zen Zero Vegan Eatery and Smoothie Bar will host this month’s Earthsave vegan dine out.

True to their nature, the sit down dinner will be raw vegan. The menu for adults is – Raw falafel wraps with hummus, tahini, veggies and sprouts wrapped in a zucchini tortilla and served with greek salad. Dessert is a raw chocolate bliss pie.

Kids to age 12 get 2 falafel balls with hummus and veggie sticks and strawberry pudding for dessert

There will also be a pomegranate yerba mate iced tea.

The price for adults is $15, for kids $8 which includes taxes and tips.

Raw Rose Uncooking Class at Zen Zero

Rose Vasile (Raw Rose) will be holding an Uncooking Class at Zen Zero from 6-9 on Tuesday, September 28th. Rose is the author of a Canadian Bestseller “Uncooking With Raw Rose – Your Guide to Raw Foods”, available at ZenZero. The $45 cost of the class includes HST, lots of info, recipes and samples of Savoury Carrot Soup, Crackers (& dehydrating info), Not Egg Salad on Greens and Fruit Crumble. Reservations are required.
