A huge congratulations to Kyla, Duston and Halen Goodness on the arrival of their newest family member who has yet to be named. He was born at their home just this afternoon after a rather intense but speedy labour. He weighed in at 6lbs 15.5oz and is perfect, calm and very alert. Way to go!

I’ve been having this feeling that buying Zen Zero is actually the whole reason we moved to the Comox Valley 3 1/2 years ago. I feel complete.
There were always so many wonderful reasons to move here from Vancouver; small town, lots of family, stunning beauty, but the one thing that kept us in Vancouver for so long was our work and what were we going to do for work in the Comox Valley??
The pros of moving here, even without work in our field, obviously outweighed the cons otherwise we wouldn’t be here. Devinder did find work, but not in live theatre where we were oh so happy working in the big city. But if we were still there we wouldn’t be here and we wouldn’t own Zen Zero.
I feel complete. I feel like we have it all, a wonderful place to live surrounded by beautiful friends and family, 3 wonderful kids and now our own business.
Not just any business would do though. It had to be Zen Zero. This business is the best possible business for us because we believe in it 100%. I feel so good about everything that we serve people. It doesn’t matter what diet journey you are on, that is your journey and I would never judge anyone for that. But when you walk through our doors, you will only be eating or drinking wonderful healthy creations. It feels so right.
As for our lifestyle, it can’t get much better. Between the 4 owners, there is always one person from each family at home with the kids. Job sharing rocks! Being our own boss rocks! We can pick and chose our hours based on the needs of our families, so even though we are all working, our kids are still coming first. I also get to bring little Oliver who is just 9 weeks old to work with me in the office. I am pretty sure there wasn’t a job out there for us that could let us do all this, here or in Vancouver.
I feel complete.

Has reality even set in yet? Will it ever? I walk through the doors of our new juice bar and I instantly feel so excited to be there. In fact just thinking about it gives me butterflies. I hope this feeling never ends…
