Zen Zero will be hosting an Open House in conjunction with Our Big Earth’s 2010 Local Food Challenge. Come on down to Zen Zero this Wednesday July 7 from 10-4 and learn about some of the fabulous local food suppliers we use to bring our tasty recipes to life. There will be food specials and a draw for a gift basket filled to the brim with local goodies. Some of the featured local farms are, Berry Best Farms, Freedom Farms, Lawns to Gardens, Tsolum Farms, Watrin Orchard, Fiesta Greenhouses and Snapdragon Acres.

We will be closed Thursday July 1, 2009 to reprogram our till for the HST that is coming into effect tomorrow…ahem I mean we will be closed to celebrate Canada Day!

Waldorf educators and board members will be on hand to answer any and all questions you may have regarding Waldorf education. Plus there will be updates on the Saltwater School’s progress and registration packages available for you to take home and fill out. See you there!

Saltwater Waldorf School would like to invite you to their “Wonder of Waldorf” Information and Registration Evening on Monday, March 22 – 7:30 to 9:30 pm at Zen Zero in Courtenay.
The evening will include a short presentation about Waldorf education as well as information about Saltwater School and plans for September 2010. This will be followed by a question and answer period. We will have application packages available to take home or submit. Saltwater School teachers will be available to answer questions as will the Saltwater School Board of Directors.
For this special evening the application fee of $50 will be waived. You are not obligated to submit your application during the evening but may take it with you and submit your completed application after the Registration Evening without being charged the fee.
We hope to see you and discuss this exciting education opportunity for the Comox Valley.

Sunrise Waldorf School in Duncan. She will describe how the Waldorf Kindergarten curriculum meets the child in their developmental stage. Her discussion is sure to inspire as well as educate us about Waldorf education.

Here we can socialize with others exploring the raw vegan lifestyle, partake of delicious food, and, depending where we are on our raw path, find the support we might need to stay on track. We exchange recipes, information, our successes and perhaps even our slip ups. Everyone is welcome.
